Eligibility Criteria For Jharkhand State Employees Health Insurance Scheme
Jharkhand State Employees/Pensioners Group Health Insurance Scheme provides medical coverage to State Government employees, pensioners and other relevant identified group members and their dependents (i.e. family members) who enroll through its web portal and whose application is approved by the approving authority.
The beneficiary categories under the health insurance scheme will be as follows:
I. Category A
- (a) Present honorable member of the State Legislative Assembly
- (b) Employees of all services of the state
II. Category B
In this category, the following officers/employees will be able to avail the benefit of health insurance scheme by paying the prescribed insurance amount, which will be completely optional:-
- (a) Retired personnel of all services of the state/family pension recipients and their dependents
- (b) Former honorable member of the State Legislative Assembly
- (c) Serving/retired officers aspiring for All India Services
- (d) Regular employees working/retired in various boards/corporations/institutions/institutions of the State Government.
- (e) Working in/Retired Teachers and post-teaching personnel working in retired colleges under Government Universities and them
III. Category C
- Advocates registered under Jharkhand Advocates Welfare Fund Trustee Committee constituted at the level of Honorable Jharkhand High Court.
IV. Dependents of category ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ also get the benefit of health insurance scheme.
- Spouse/Wife/Son/Legal Adopted Son (upto the age of 25 years provided unemployed)
- Daughter (Avivahita / Vidhava / Parityakta Daughter)
- Minor brother and unmarried sister
- Dependent parents (in case of pensioners receiving pension less than Rs. 9000/- per month and then estimated Dearness Relief)
- Disabled dependents will be provided the benefit of lifelong health insurance.
- In case of female employees, only one of the parents or in-laws will be in the category of dependent.
- In case both husband and wife are state government employees, both cannot show each other as dependents and their children will be considered dependent on only one of them.

The procedure to be followed to apply online for Jharkhand State Health Workers Insurance Scheme is as follows:
- Before applying online under this scheme, you will have to register on its official portal.
- To register, you must have your full name, email ID, mobile number and password.
- Once you register, you can login to this portal by entering your mobile number and password.
- After that an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, you have to fill it.
- After that a new page will open in which you will get an option New Application, you have to click on it.
- After that your complete application form will open, from there you have to fill the form correctly, upload the documents and turn it on.
- All the applicant’s information will then be sent to the insurance company and they will be insured.
